1. Who we are

Quick-WebP("we", "us") operates a browser-based image conversion service. For privacy requests, contact privacy@quick-webp.com.

2. What we do not collect

During normal conversion use, your image files are processed entirely in your browser. We do not upload, store, or receive the content of your images on our servers.

3. Data we process

Account data: email, profile information, and subscription status (via Supabase and Stripe) when you register or subscribe.
Payment data: handled by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers.
Analytics (with consent only): anonymous visit counter (one per browser session) and conversion statistics (input/output format and file count, no image data).
Essential preferences: your cookie consent choice stored in your browser (local storage).

4. Legal basis (GDPR)

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on the following bases:

Contract: providing the Service, accounts, and subscriptions you request.
Consent: non-essential analytics (visit and conversion statistics). You can refuse or withdraw consent via the cookie banner or by clearing site data.
Legitimate interests: securing the Service, preventing abuse, and improving core functionality, balanced against your rights.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

We use authentication cookies managed by Supabase when you log in. These are necessary for the Service to function.

On your first visit, a banner asks for consent before non-essential analytics run. Your choice is stored locally under the key quickwebp_cookie_consent. Choose "Essential only" to use the site without analytics tracking.

6. Retention

Account and subscription records are kept while your account is active and as required for legal, tax, or billing obligations. Anonymous analytics are retained in aggregate form. You may request deletion of personal data subject to applicable law.

7. Your rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)

If you are in the EEA, UK, or a region with similar laws, you may have the right to:

Access, rectify, or erase your personal data
Restrict or object to certain processing
Data portability where applicable
Withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior lawful processing)
Lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority

8. International transfers

Our providers (e.g. Supabase, Stripe, hosting) may process data in countries outside your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses offered by those providers.

9. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

10. Changes

We may update this policy; the date above will change when we do. Material changes may be highlighted on the site or via email where appropriate.
